Hawaiian Ethnohistorical Research Specialist

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Arts degree & 3 years experience
KULEANA:
-
Conducting cultural & historical research using Māhele ʻĀina documents, historic maps, & other archival/literature sources
-
Other kuleana may include conducting ethnographic interviews & archaeological field surveys
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
-
B.A. (required) or M.A. (preferred) in Hawaiian Studies, Archaeology, Anthropology, or related fields
-
Desire to benefit ʻāina, kaiāulu, & lāhui
-
ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi skills
-
Can work independently & have access to reliable internet
-
Have knowledge of Google Drive, Adobe Suite, & Microsoft Office
CONDITIONS:
-
Flexible work from home schedule with occasional in-person work
-
If working 20+ hrs/wk health coverage included
-
Must be at least 17 years of age and be eligible to work in Hawaiʻi
-
Must have a computer and reliable internet service
